DC Fashion Week presents Opening Night of its Autumn/Winter Collections 2017 with a socially conscious and fashionably on time presentation at Impact Hub DC. “Eco-Chic: Wear Change Goes to Work” will highlight sustainable looks that set the trend for the future for fashion. Impact Hub DC supports the opportunity to highlight up and coming designers and entrepreneurs in an industry that respects the environment, workers, and consumers in equal measure. Understanding the need for change in the fashion industry, Impact Hub DC aims to present local designers and provide fair and accurate information to educate the public on sustainability and fair trade practices in fashion.
By hosting DC Fashion Week, Impact Hub DC is supporting local talent and entrepreneurs who choose to present locally by giving a platform to designers from very diverse backgrounds representing the international landscape of Washington, D.C. The charitable partner for The “Eco-Chic” Fashion Show is Suited For Change, supporting opportunities for career success for women by providing professional and job-readiness skills in the Greater Washington Metropolitan area. Together we will use our platform to demand a system that produces beautiful and conscientious garments.
